About Me
Hi! I’m Christine Pollack, a pediatric OT & mom who gets it. My journey began as a new mom whose eyes were wide opened to the lack of support during the postpartum phase. A phase that should emphasize bonding turned into constant problem solving & troubleshooting. Why wasn’t my baby gaining weight? Why was breastfeeding taking 45 minutes? Why was I getting back to back bouts of mastitis? I identified my baby’s tongue tie & immediately got help! It was extremely daunting attempting to find the right support while I was going through a rough postpartum recovery physically, mentally & emotionally. Any new parent knows how sacred this time is but it can also be a time of extreme challenge. We (mom & baby as a unit) were just surviving instead of thriving. For the first time ever I truly saw motherhood through the perspective of a parent instead of an OT. I realized during this time that there was a serious gap in care & parents were in serious need of their “village.” I thought how amazing it would be if parents had a trusted network of sources and professionals to offer support during this vulnerable time.
In 2020 when the pandemic hit & early intervention came to a halt, I felt compelled to create a platform for sharing my expertise to help families have access to expert support. What started out as a creative outlet, evolved & bloomed into a calling. I began offering virtual milestone consults with families who were waiting months for evaluations.
When I became pregnant with my second baby, I knew it was time to expand my knowledge and gain more specialized training. As a mom’s mom, I felt compelled to share my personal & professional experience to support other moms & babies. I became trained in the Tummy Time method, a scientific, evidenced informed program developed to uniquely address the needs of babies in the newborn to pre-crawling stage of life.
Since then I have worked to offer group & individual milestone & tummy time support both locally & virtually. I have collaborated with local pediatricians on a shared mission of reaching babies during their most critical period in development.
My goal is to help parents become equipped with a confident approach to building a strong developmental foundation. Whether you’re concerned about a milestone, or your baby protests tummy time, or maybe you’re looking for some purposeful play ideas & positioning tips. I’ve got you! I’m glad you’re here & thank you for considering me to be part of your village!
